Potential Instructor Course PIC 2022-01 and Potential Instructor Familiarization Course PIFC 2022-01 (Updated with Student name list)

The Central Training Team is going to hold the Potential Instructor Course PIC 2022-01#1 and the Potential Instructor Familiarization Course PIFC 2022-01#2 between October 2022 and March 2023. OC Squadron / Unit IC please provide nomination(s) by completing the attached documents (1) – Nomination form on or before 8th October 2022, detail as follows:

1st Weekend

15th to 16th October 2022 (Saturday to Sunday).

 

 

(#2 One weekend in total. Notice: Actual training date may be adjusted depending

 

 

    on the novel coronavirus infection situation. )

 

 

 

 

 

Potential Instructor Course PIC 2022-01

 

 

1st Weekend

15th to 16th October 2022 (Saturday to Sunday),

 

 

2nd Weekend

19th to 20th November 2022 (Saturday to Sunday),

 

 

3rd Weekend

10th to 11th December 2022 (Saturday to Sunday),

 

 

4th Weekend

7th to 8th January 2023 (Saturday to Sunday),

 

 

5th Weekend

11th to 12th February 2023 (Saturday to Sunday),

 

 

6th Weekend

18th to 19th March 2023 (Saturday to Sunday).

Time

(Each weekend training) 1400 hours to next day 1700 hours.

 

Class Method

Physical class(es).

 

Assessment

(No test / assessment will be given; other in course requirement please refer to the

 

 

  course joining instruction, issue after course deadline. )

 

Venue

Hong Kong Adventure Corps High Island Training Camp,

 

 

Sai Kung Man Yee Road, Sai Kung.

 

Objective

1. Introduction on the roles and job duties as a volunteer instructor in Hong Kong

 

 

   Adventure Corps;

 

 

2. Learning the required skill sets / skills to be taught by a volunteer instructor in

 

 

   Hong Kong Adventure Corps.

 

Target

Potential instructor with Instructor Application Form submitted.

 

Uniform

Field Dress (and refer to the course joining instruction, issue after course deadline) .

 

 

( Refer to Commandant’s Order 12/2015 Dress Regulations (Part One) or HKAC

 

 

   Website – “Information” – “Dress Regulation”).

 

Class size

50 per class (Minimum size of 8 ).

 

Course fee

1. Membership fee HK60.0 (for unregistered potential instructor applicant only),

 

 

2. Uniform (price list will be provided on the interview day / along with joining

 

 

   instruction ),

 

 

3. Transportation and meal fee HK150.0 per person per weekend. The fee is to be

 

 

   collected at each weekend training and is non-refundable.

Deadline

1700, 8th October, 2022 (Saturday).

 

Remarks

1. Fees and places of enrolled participants is non-refundable and non-

 

 

     exchangeable.

 

 

2. All participants must comply with the anti-epidemic measures.

 

 

3. Joining instruction will be issued to nominees upon acceptance.

 

 

4. Supporting document (e.g. certificate, qualification or recommendation letter

 

 

     from OC Squadron / Unit IC) is required with Potential Instructor

 

 

     Familiarization Course PIFC 2022-01 nominations.

 

 

5. Course students should always wear proper uniform, obey any given

 

 

     orders/instructions and participate with 100% attendance, failure to do so will

 

 

     result in suspension of taking class(es).

 

 

6. The Hong Kong Adventure Corps Certificate of Participation – Potential Instructor

 

 

     Course or Potential Instructor Familiarization Course will be awarded upon

 

 

     completion of course requirement.

 

 

7. There will be no make-up class for this course.

 

 

8. The course will be cancelled if enrolment is insufficient (less than 8 persons per

 

 

     course).

 

 

9. In order to encourage and promote an eco-friendly perspective within Corps,

 

 

     training materials (e.g. handouts) will be distributed in electronic format. Other

 

 

     course related expenses will be shared by course students.

 

 

10. Class arrangement is subject to change depending on the latest situation of the

 

 

     epidemic and the suspension of training. Details of the latest arrangement are

 

 

     available at HKAC website ( http://hkac.org/ ).

11. Course candidate(s) should report to rendezvous point on time, there will be

 

 

     NO waiting for late-comers.
